Once the injured or displaced migratory/native birds have been rehabilitated, they are then released. Bird species at the Wild Bird Sanctuary Key Largo include pelicans, gulls, owls, hawks, vultures, songbirds, and more.

This is a great place to take your family and learn a little about the local bird species and ecosystems. From sunrise to sunset the Sanctuary is open every day of the year. Entry is free, however donations are most welcome!

Key Largo Community Park

This place of interest won´t cost you anything IF you can resist the temptations on offer. Here you will find more than 50 vendors selling products such as jewelry, arts & crafts, swimsuits, and more.

There is also a fresh produce market at this location that offers super fresh fruit and vegetables. The quality of the food is outstanding (trucked in daily) and the prices are fantastic.

Other Activities

Key Largo is located in the upper Florida Keys, just off the southern coast of Florida. You can arrive at Key Largo by land, sea, or air.

The distance from Miami to Key Largo is around 60 miles and will take at least 90 minutes by car. If you choose to take a Miami to Key Largo shuttle, the trip will take a little longer.
