Cabbage Beach is located on Paradise Island, a small island across from Bahamas’ capital, Nassau. You first need to get to Paradise Island. From Nassau, you can quickly get to Paradise Island by ferry.

Paradise Island is just over the bridge from the Nassau cruise port, making it an easy excursion if you’re on a cruise stop. There are only a handful of beaches in Nassau near the cruise port. Without a doubt, this is one of the best beaches in Nassau for cruisers.

Once you arrive at Paradise Island, you can easily walk to Cabbage beach. The walk from the ferry dock to the shore is approximately 15 minutes. You can also take a taxi, with a fare of as little as $4, and request to be dropped off at the public beach access. Local taxi drivers will know exactly where to take you.

The best time of year to visit Cabbage Beach is in June or July. June and July have the longest and sunniest days, therefore making them optimal beach days. In August, Paradise Island reaches its temperature peaks with an average temperature of 86°F

After August’s warm weather, September typically has the warmest water temperature at the beach with a warm 84°F. It’s important to note that despite the high temperatures in August and September, they subsequently fall into the rainy season.
